ATCs for October swaps

Back again with another batch of ATC's made for Trimcraft October swaps.

These four I made for a colour swap where this month's colour was lilac.  The bird is a lilac-breasted roller bird which is native of Africa.  I was really pleased when one of my Trimmie friends left me a message to say she had actually seen this bird when on holiday in Kenya.

The three Indian themed above I made for a Celebrations swap as we had the Commonwealth Games in October.

The above roundies are for a swap remembering Halloween and below to represent the leaves of Autumn.

Finally my fat page ATC's for the animals swap.  'U' stumped me for a while until I found these cute Utah Prairie Dogs and for 'V' what else but vultures.

I haven't been crafting much this month - think I've lost my mojo.  Will have to get it back soon though as have Christmas cards to make for myself and my daughter Fran,  who does make her more personal cards herself.

More ATCs Made for Swaps

Here I am back again.  Am over the rotten head cold that seemed to go on forever.  I felt like nothing on earth, and probably looked it as well, and really struggled to get some ATCs finished for the regular monthly swaps I'm in.
I managed to get colour (Silver) and celebrations (Murder & Mystery) swaps in by the skin of my teeth and the roundie (autumn) and themed with a twist (musical instruments) with a day to spare - took using 1st class stamps though.  However I am back to normal now and have the animal fat page and an ongoing swap ready to post tomorrow for the 30th.

These ATCs were made for the Silver colour swap.  The butterflies background is actually silver but when I scanned it in it came out black.

This set I made for the celebrations swap which was Murder & Mystery to celebrate Agatha Christie.

For the Themed with a Twist swap which was Musical Instruments so I made these.

The roundie swap was Autumn and I made these.

And finally these are my swaps for the animal fat page swap.  By the end of the year we will all have an A-Z of animal fat pages.
Well that's all for now.  Hopefully now I am feeling better I will be able to blog more regularly.

Latest ATCs

Here are some ATCs that I have made recently.

These may well be the last I make, apart from those for my regular Trimcraft swaps, as it is time to start thinking about Christmas cards and sorting out my stash to see what I have left from last year.
I also need to get back to scrapbooking the photographs that I sorted some months ago.  I have rather got caught up in making ATCs as they are quite addictive and so I have nearly run out of storage folders for them.
Be back soon

ATCs for Monthly Swaps

I've made some usual sized ATCs today and also some roundies which are 4 inch diameter card decorated as you would a usual ATC.

These are the usual sized ATCs for Diana's monthly themed with a twist swap which for August is the Beach.

These are for Diana's roundie swap and the theme is also the Beach.

Another swap is a fat page (4 inch square piece of card) featuring two animals each month using the alphabet.  At the end of the year we will have a book of 26 animals by alphabet.  Hope I've explained this okay.

I had a lot of fun sourcing materials and laying out these ATCs.  I couldn't resist the snowman Santa and wording on the Reindeer card.

I really enjoy the swaps that I contribute to and plan to start entering other challenges on the Trimcraft site and maybe also different themes on other sites

Trimcraft Swap

On the Trimcraft site there are several monthly swaps with varying themes.

Here are three ATCs I made for a monthly swap whose theme is Celebrations.  August's theme is Scotland because of the Edinburgh Festival.

I will upload more for cards for this month's swaps when I have them stored on my PC

Christmas ATCs

Following on from yesterday's blog, here are the Christmas ATCs that I have recently made.

The last ATC looks a lot darker than it is - it is much more silvery (if there is such a word).

To some it may seem a bit early for Christmas crafting and I usually do not do anything until after the August bank holiday weekend and then only if pushed. I usually wait until October but then quite often have to rush to get all the cards done so thought this year I'd make an earlier start - hopefully it will work out.

I'm off now to sort through my Christmas stash and see what I have and whether I may need to get more.

Maybe back later.

New Greetings Cards

I am very much into paper crafting at present.  I love making ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) which are pieces of card measuring 2.5 x 3.5 inches and decorated however you like.  I also enjoy making greetings cards like these.

This is my first attempt at twisted pyramage but I have not yet decided what type of card, i.e. birthday, get well soon etc.

I am also keen on the Pepper and Friends series of images and made this following card using a die-cut decoupage kit.

I also enjoy scrapbooking but have not done any lately.  I have the photographs all sorted and ready but keep getting sidetracked.

I have made some Christmas ATCs and will upload them when I get time.
